It has been a dreadful winter so far. This is all the more reason to keep up on your pets grooming. We want to keep their hair and skin in good condition and keep their nails at a proper length for both appearance and health.
As we groom Your best friends it is not uncommon for us to find things that need a vet attention that are missed in your everyday interaction with your pet. Just this week we were able to let the owners of one animal about a possible cancer on her cat. Had she not come in it could have gone on for months without treatment. We all know how important early detection is not just for cancer but other conditions too.
Over the winter our fury friends get wet now and then from the snow which can add to the problem of matting. This is not only unattractive but uncomfortable for your pet. It will cause the grooming experience for your pet to not be as pleasant as it could be if they were kept on a good grooming schedule. This can also increase your cost of grooming when you do come in due to increased work and time spent on your animal.
You would never consider not washing your hair or taking a bath because it is winter so why would we make that decisions for our pets.
